The Education and Training Network (ETN) is thrilled to be managing the Annual Grange Conference, again this year. The conference has developed an almost iconic status amongst medico-legal experts and we are excited to offer this event to an even wider audience following the success of 2016 and 2017. We really do hope to see our regular delegates attending once more so please book as soon as possible.

Running over four days – you may attend all or as many days as you wish – we have chosen the topics carefully to address both what the expert witness needs to know and, also, the controversial issues of the day.

The tradition of The Grange Conference is being carried forward by the Grange Trustees advised, as ever, by Professor Keith Rix – previously its lead organiser.

You will have the opportunity to engage in a case based discussion analysing one of your own reports, using the ‘Rix Tool’ which you can use for appraisal and you can also practise anyalysing someone else’s report! Alternatively, we are offering a parallel session ‘A Private Consultation on your Report Writing’ led by Professor Keith Rix and Dr Danny Allen. As ever, you will have plenty of opportunity for informal discussion and networking with some of the country’s foremost experts in their fields.

Following in the tradition of the Grange Conference of inviting a member of the Supreme Court, this year's Supreme Court Lecture is not to be missed!

Conference Accommodation

Once more, given its success and much loved location, the event will be hosted by the Ripley Castle estate between Harrogate and Ripon. Early bookers will have the opportunity of staying at the legendary Boar’s Head with its excellent hospitality and cuisines – all guests will be able to visit the castle grounds and can attend the black tie dinner in the castle itself!

We highly recommend booking as soon as possible to secure your accommodation.

So whether you are an established expert or new to the field, we look forward to welcoming you to Yorkshire for the Medico-Legal Event of the Year for Mental Health Professionals between Monday 24th and Thursday 27th September 2018.
